On 16 June 2022 I was a mentor at Girls.js in Łódź again. I led a team of three participants through frontend basics: HTML (structure), CSS (styling), JavaScript (interaction and logic). Each brought a different perspective – the work was effective and inspiring.
The workshops went well. We covered the plan, there was time for questions and at the end for extra tasks and a chat about programming and career in the industry. Individual approach helped: I could tailor explanations to each person’s level, help with issues and build confidence.
Watching them move from task to task was satisfying. Short, intense workshops can be a real step in someone’s path. Thanks to the organisers and participants. I encourage you to follow Girls.js and join future editions.
