Vue.js and Firebase (first Vue 3 components, navigation, Firebase Auth and Firestore). I wanted students to understand why the environment was set up the way it was – a lot of time on docs and decisions instead of copying tutorials.\n\nSecond part of the semester: one shared system instead of several small apps. Role split: web team (Vue frontend, logic, Firebase), mobile team (responsiveness, UX on small screens), manager role (backlog, tasks, communication, sprints). Students could try different perspectives; the manager dealt with aligning ways of working into one plan. A board with tasks and \"definition of done\" brought order to communication.\n\nStack: Vue 3 with Composition API, Pinia (where local state wasn’t enough), Firebase Auth and Firestore, Firebase Hosting and CI\u002FCD. The aim wasn’t to \"learn Vue and Firebase by heart\" but to see how these tools help ship a product. With the cloud in place we could focus on features, flows and code quality.\n\nWorking in a team of six quickly showed typical issues: different learning speeds, agreeing on decisions, combining frontend, mobile UX and organisation. I gradually handed over responsibility – questions instead of ready solutions, docs, explaining things to each other. By the end of the semester they were more often solving things without my direct help.\n\nAt the end we had a coherent app: login via Firebase, data in Firestore, navigation and views that worked on phones, deployment to hosting. Their different perspectives and questions made me think harder about things I took for granted.\n\nThe programme was broad: not just code but the whole ecosystem – architecture, UI\u002FUX, deployment, CI\u002FCD. We touched on web app programming, architecture, auth, database operations, CI\u002FCD, interface design, project management. On one hand students got knowledge close to real projects, on the other the pace required balancing ambition with time for practice.\n\nPhase one: intro to tech and individual projects. Each student designed an application concept. The process included planning goals and features, design prototypes and implementation. Requirements: homepage, auth module, CRUD, responsiveness, CI\u002FCD. I wanted them to work like professionals from the start – version control, deploys, thinking about the app lifecycle.\n\nPhase two: one larger, more complex project using what they’d learned. Real understanding came when they had to tie everything together. Watching them debug, read docs and work together was instructive.\n\nWhat I learned: everyone learns differently and at a different pace – I had to adapt how I explained things. Time was limited (one semester, a lot of material); sometimes we had to prioritise and remember the goal was solid foundations and encouragement to keep learning, not \"all the knowledge in the world\". The most satisfying moments were when students found solutions on their own – instead of giving answers I tried to ask questions that led there.\n\nThanks to the six students of that edition for their commitment and patience. A parent selects their child's school, browses the menu for a specific day or week, marks meals, and places an order. You can set dietary preferences, allergens, and special diets. The system reminds about orders and allows online payments.\n\nThe catering companies section enables managing offers, menus, orders, and deliveries. A company adds menus for specific days, sets prices, defines order and delivery deadlines. It sees all orders from a given school, can export lists for meal preparation, and track payments.\n\nThe process is simple: parent selects meals, pays, company delivers. The school doesn't need to coordinate orders or collect cash. Everything works through the platform. Parents have control over what their children eat, and catering companies have a clear order management system.\n\nThe site is responsive and fast. Most parents order meals on phones, so the mobile version was a priority. Page loading is optimized – images are compressed, code is minified. \n\nSEO matters. Pages have proper meta tags, structured data, sitemap. This helps the platform appear in search results when someone looks for school catering or ordering meals for children.\n\nWe plan to expand features: SMS notifications, integration with school systems, nutritional reports for parents, meal rating options. Each suggestion is meant to be doable and worth the time. I quickly saw that one set for everyone doesn’t work – hence personalisation. Three modes: for yourself (solo time), for a couple, for a group. Filters: budget, location, available time, categories. In a few seconds you can narrow down to what fits, instead of hours of browsing.\n\nCategories are varied – sport, culture, relaxation, fun. I tried to balance activities that need preparation with spontaneous ones. I get feedback from users who try something new: pottery workshops, night city tours, trips out of town. That’s the best reward.\n\nThe interface is card-based – quick browsing, saving favourites. The app should work on mobile and desktop; ideas often come on the go, so availability matters.\n\nShared, real-world experiences still build relationships. None gave me full control – either too little analysis or ads or expensive subscriptions. I decided to build a tool for myself and others who want to track their development consciously. That’s how Training Log (Rejestr Formy \u002F My Gym Track) started.\n\nThe rule: the user should spend time training, not tapping. The interface should be fast – a few actions, enter weight and reps, done. The app logs time, calculates training volume and detects personal records. A \"you hit a PR\" notification gives concrete motivation.\n\nThe database has over 1,600 exercises with technique description and muscles involved. Plus over 600 ready-made plans for different goals (mass, cut, strength, endurance). I know from experience how overwhelming it can be to design a plan from scratch; ready plans let you start right away.\n\nCharts for each exercise show progress over time – not just peaks but trends and plateaus. Research I looked at for the project shows that logging workouts improves consistency: app users complete around 81% of planned workouts vs 52% without that support; in one study average squat increase +19 kg, bench +8 kg after 10 weeks. Consistency and data work.\n\nA priority was user control over data. Training Log has no ads and doesn’t sell data. Your workouts are yours. That limits the business model, but for me it’s more important that the tool actually helps. Messages from users about their first 100 kg squat or finally training regularly are the best feedback.\n\nI plan to develop it further: advanced analysis, sharing workouts with a coach or training partner, maybe wearable integrations. I want to keep the app simple and keep control with the user.
