Hi! I’d like to tell you about an extraordinary moment in my career that will remain in my memory for a long time. In October 2022, while passionately developing the KanapkaMan application, I received news of a nomination for the Mobile Trends Awards in the MOBILE FOODTECH category. It was a signal to me that every hour spent over code, every sleepless night, and every stormy discussion about the best solutions had deep meaning and were noticed by industry experts. Such moments are invaluable confirmation for me that it’s worth following your passion and not being afraid of challenges.
Prestige of Mobile Trends Awards
I am deeply convinced that the true value of an award lies not only in the statuette itself but, above all, in the recognition of the professional community. For 12 years, the Mobile Trends Awards has been synonymous with excellence in the mobile industry. The Competition Jury consists of experts who constantly shape the mobile technology landscape – people who set standards and inspire crossing further boundaries.
When I learned about the nomination, I immediately realized how demanding the evaluation process is. Every year, strong brands compete with each other, and only the most innovative projects have a chance for distinction.
The Jury evaluates applications in terms of:
- Perfection of execution – quality of code and implementation
- Adaptation to user needs – usability and experience
- Innovation – novel solutions
- Recognition – brand and market position
The awareness that KanapkaMan passed through this sieve and was among the distinguished ones was a huge reason for pride and motivation for further development.
MOBILE FOODTECH Category – Our Innovation Space
The nomination in the MOBILE FOODTECH category had special meaning for me because it combined two of my passions – mobile technologies and the transformation of food-related experiences. Over many months of work on KanapkaMan, I tried to create a solution that not only facilitates ordering meals but actually changes how catering functions in the daily life of companies. This was a fascinating journey for me through the world of innovations and user needs.
Our vision of adapting mobile technologies to the specific needs of both employees using the application and catering companies handling orders was appreciated. While working on the project, I paid special attention to making every element of the interface intuitive, every process simplified as much as possible, and the user experience smooth and pleasant. The fact that these efforts were noticed by experts was invaluable confirmation for me that I’m on the right track and it’s worth investing in development and education.
Teamwork and Co-creation
I want to emphasize that the nomination for the Mobile Trends Awards was not my individual success. In the IT industry, especially with projects as complex as a mobile application for the foodtech sector, cooperation and knowledge sharing are key to me.
Every member of the KanapkaMan team made their unique contribution:

Watching our team overcome project challenges together and how each person brought their expertise to a common goal was a great satisfaction for me. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to work with such committed and inspiring people. This experience further confirmed my belief in how fundamental cooperation is in our industry.
Value of Nomination – More Than a Statuette
We didn’t win the main statuette in this competition, but through years of work in the industry, I’ve learned that the true value of such distinctions doesn’t lie in the trophy standing on a shelf. The nomination itself for the Mobile Trends Awards 2022 was a huge success for me and the entire team and a source of motivation for further development and discovering new possibilities.
Being among the nominees meant joining the elite – brands that create mobile projects at the highest level. It was confirmation that our solutions are not only functional but also innovative and valuable from the perspective of the entire industry. For the young team we were then, this nomination had huge significance – it showed us that we’re on the right track and our efforts are noticed by the professional community. I am very grateful for this.
Reflections and Lessons
This experience taught me several fundamental lessons. First, quality and innovation will always be appreciated, even if it doesn’t immediately translate into awards. Second, the road to success in the IT industry requires not only technical skills but, above all, an understanding of user needs and courage in implementing non-standard solutions. Third, cooperation and team support are invaluable – no project will succeed without the commitment of everyone who believes in it. These reflections accompany me in my daily work and motivate me for further development.
The nomination for Mobile Trends Awards was also a reminder for me of how dynamic and demanding the mobile industry is. Every year the bar is raised, new technologies and solutions appear, and users have ever-higher expectations. This forces us to constantly develop, learn, and experiment with new approaches.
